Lord Fry wants to take over the world with fast food chains that carry French fries! Leave it to Potato man and his sidekick cheese boy to stop the evil plans of the enemy to save Pommesville!

This is one of my favorite Trick-taking games to introduce people to the genre and it's also just a lot of fun. In most trick-takers you must follow suit, however, in Potato Man everyone must play a different color. Whoever played the highest number then wins the trick. If you can't play a different color the round ends and points are scored for that round.

There is also another twist! If Lord Fry is ever played he will most likely win, seeing as his cards are 16-18. BUT if Potato Man arrives while Lord Fry is on the table, Potato Man (numbers 1-3) will ALWAYS win the trick. Otherwise Potato Man is just low numbers.

When you win a trick you take a potato from a pile of cards (worth various points) corresponding to the color you won the trick with. If a pile happens to be out, you get to take from the golden potato pile worth 5 points!

As with most trick-taking games knowing when and what card to play will help in the long run, but the added twists on display here make for plenty of fun moments around the table! Once rounds equal to the amount of players have been done the game ends by adding up all your potatoes!

The art is bright, vibrant, and easy to read across the table. The game is quick and snappy with plenty of little subtle strategies to discover. Besides Claim, I would say this is wonderful way to dive into the huge world of Trick-Taking games. Potato Man, AWAAAAAAY!🥔
